THE RESORT
The Resort le Picchiaie is situated on a green Elba hill from which our guests can enjoy a breathtaking view on the Gulf of Portoferraio.
The hotel offers an exclusive holiday surrounded by the scent of the sea and the fragrances of the herbs and plants of the Elba island, where our guests may relax and sunbath lying by the swimming pools while caressed by a pleasant breeze softening the summer heat.
At sunset, while the Gulf waters begin to darken and when guests are pleasantly exhausted by the summer sea day, excellent drinks and cocktails are served by the pool bar, perfect preamble to continue the evening with a gourmet dinner based on Elban and Tuscan recipes served in the airy and panoramic restaurant of the Resort.
Because of the strategic position of the Resort, our guests may get to some of the most beautiful beaches of the island in few minutes drive, be them made of sand, stones or rock.
In particular, the closest and nicest are the famous Capoliveri seven beaches, Lacona beaches and Golfo Stella beaches.

The Rooms and suites of our Resort are distributed over four low rise buildings surrounded by the plants and vegetation typical of the Mediterranean area.
Our Suites and Superior Rooms are all located in the Main House of the Resort and are different in style and furnishing. These units enjoy from their terraces or windows either an amazing view of the sea or on the swimming pools or on the garden of the property and the hills, based on their position in the building.
In particular, the Napoleon Suite is equipped with a 60 sqm panoramic terrace overlooking the Gulf of Portoferraio.

The Resort is 7 km from Portoferraio (ferry terminal), 8 km from Porto Azzurro and 15 km from the Marina di Campo airport
Nearest beaches
The seven Capoliveri beaches as well as the Lacona and Golfo Stella beaches range from 4 to 5 km from the Resort. Only 2/3 km are required to cover the distance to the nice Bagnaia, Magazzini and Nisporto beaches
HOW TO GET TO THE RESORT
By Car
Ferries to Elba Island leave from Piombino Marittima (harbor). Once you have reached the town from the north, with the A12 motorway to Rosignano, continue on the SGC towards Rome and exit at Piombino. From the south, take the Roma Civitavecchia motorway, continue on the SGC towards Livorno and exit at Piombino. From Piombino, the ferry to Portoferraio takes 60 minutes to reach the island. From here, follow the directions given in the 'By Boat' section
By Boat
From Portoferraio, take the road to Porto Azzurro. After 5 km, on the right side of the road, you will see the sign of the Resort. Its entrance is located after 600 meters.
By Plane
The Marina di Campo airport is connected with many Italian and European cities, and is only 15 km from the Resort
